Yolanda Evette Griffith (born March 1, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American women's agent basketball player currently swimming for the Sacramento Monarchs of the WNBA. She is periodically known as by her nicknames: "Yo" & "Yo-Yo".

She attend George Wa Carver High School in the Chicago vicinity. Inside her senior month (1988-1989), she was known as within Parade Magazine's All-American basketball team.

She attended Palm Beach Junior College inside Lake Worth, Florida, where she earned Junior College All-Us honors around 1990-91. She late transferred to Florida Atlantic University, where she graduated around 1993. In the period of her college years, she supported herself & her girl by experiencing the over night job hotwiring cars for a car-repossesion house.

Griffith was a #2 draft pick in the 1999 WNBA Draft. She occurs as quatern-instance WNBA All-Star, and won a WNBA's MVP and Defensive Player awards in 1999.

Griffith has twice been the member of the U.S. National Women's Basketball team, which won Gold Medals during the Summer Olympics in 2000 and 2004.

Inside 2005, the Monarchs won their number 1 WNBA title over the Connecticut Sun, three games to 1 within the Best-of-five playoff series. Griffith was known as series MVP.
